Key Responsibilities:

  • Development & Customization: Deliver client-specific customizations for global accounts.

  • Ownership: Own Development projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery with minimal supervision.

  • SOW (Statement of Work) Creation: Participate in meetings, contribute to effort estimates with minimal supervision, and provide valuable input.

  • Established Tools and Processes: Build structured, reusable assets and tools for efficiency and automation.

  • Collaboration: Partner effectively across a global team, including consultants, project managers, Deltek partners and subcontractors, and cloud operations.

  • Quality Assurance: Drive customer satisfaction and maintain governance standards by applying established security, quality, and testing protocols.

  • Code Reviews: Lead code reviews for junior team members, providing constructive feedback to enhance code quality and foster skill development.

  • Leverage AI-first methodology throughout the project lifecycle: Use AI-powered tools to design, develop, and maintain scalable technical solutions.

  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively engage in continuous improvement by recommending tooling, automation, and best practices.

  • Mentoring: Support and coach junior members of the team.

  • 2-4 years’ experience in development: with proven expertise in technical solution delivery, architecture, process improvement, and technical leadership.

  • Quality & Compliance: commitment to governance standards, adherence to SLAs and KPIs, and timely project delivery aligned with organizational processes.

  • CI/CD & SDLC Practices: apply continuous integration and delivery principles, version control systems, and software development lifecycle best practices to deliver robust solutions.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Expertise: strong ability to diagnose complex business challenges, assess alternative solutions, and independently recommend the most effective course of action.

  • Strong specification writing skills: Demonstrated ability to create precise, comprehensive design specifications that enable customer approval and developer implementation without ambiguity.

  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools, including Claude, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI and LLM based solutions for accelerating business solutions development.

  • Cultural Awareness: Understanding of cultural differences and regional business practices.

  • Technical Skills

  • High level of proficiency in programming languages: Proficiency in object-oriented programming and at least one major language (e.g., Java, C#, Node.js, .NET, Python), combined with strong knowledge of design patterns, frameworks, and architectural principles for building scalable solutions.

  • API Development & Integration: RESTful and SOAP APIs, microservices architecture.

  • Database Management: Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

  • Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes for deployment and scaling.

  • CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps for automated builds and deployments.

  • Security Practices: Knowledge of secure coding standards, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

  • Testing Frameworks: Unit and integration testing using tools like JUnit, NUnit, PyTest.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise of industry tools: Working knowledge of enterprise integration platforms workflow orchestration, data pipelines (ETL/ELT)((i.e Workato, Dell Boomi, Airflow), and observability tools (Datadog, Splunk) used within the organization to automate and operate reliable solutions.

  • Security & Compliance Awareness: understanding of industry security standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, GDPR, SOC 2) with the ability to design and implement solutions that meet organizational and government compliance requirements.

  • Functional knowledge of one or more Deltek ERP platforms:

  • Vantagepoint

  • Maconomy

  • Replicon

  • Costpoint

Success Criteria for the Role

  • Specification Quality: Deliver customer-friendly specifications with a high first-time approval rate across all engagement types, minimizing rework through clear scoping and well-defined requirements.

  • Execution: projects consistently completed within agreed timelines with proactive risk management and minimal scope creep.

  • Quality: Consistently deliver with low defects; successful UAT signoffs and minimal iterations.

  • Customer satisfaction: consistently receive positive feedback on communication, technical expertise, and solution quality from customers of all sizes.

  • AI Adoption: demonstrate efficiency gains through AI usage including faster specification writing, improved code quality, automated testing.
