  • Develop a strong understanding of current end to end BI/EDW architecture to support deployed solutions

  • Gather data and analytics requirements from business partners, application team and other solution/domain architects and identify the appropriate architectural solutions.

  • Work with internal business analysts to understand business requirements and translate technical qualifications and data warehouse solutions

  • Develop, design, test, and modify Power BI dashboards, Cognos reports, and SQL to support critical business needs

  • Ensure that Power BI dashboards, Cognos reports, and all BI solutions adhere to best practices, standards, guidelines and maintain consistency across all data flows, data mappings and technical architecture. Develop and promote data architecture standards, guidelines, procedures and repeatable and scalable frameworks. Contribute to advancing data and analytics architectures and design guidelines.

  • Create or oversee technical documentation as required throughout project lifecycle

  • Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake data models, schemas, views, and stored procedures to support scalable reporting and analytics solutions.

  • Build and optimize Snowflake data pipelines and ELT processes, including performance tuning, workload management, data security, and support for semi-structured data.

  • Under Team Lead’s guidance, use internal IT help desk ticketing system to monitor intake items, prioritize, work on, and close out assigned support tickets

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Experience working with Dimensional Data Models, ideally Kimball’s Data Warehouse Lifecycle

  • Advanced experience with Power BI, including DAX measures, calculated columns, calculated tables, and optimization of complex semantic models for reporting and analytics.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Power Query for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and shaping from multiple enterprise data sources.

  • Experience implementing Power BI Row-Level Security (RLS), secure dataset design, and role-based access controls to support governed data access.

  • Experience using Power BI Deployment Pipelines and release management best practices to promote content across development, test, and production environments.

  • Knowledge of Power BI service administration, workspace governance, gateway connectivity, refresh strategies, and report performance tuning.

  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining Cognos Analytics reports, dashboards, drill-through reports, prompts, and scheduled report distributions.

  • Experience with Cognos Framework Manager, data modules, and relational or dimensional modeling to support reusable, scalable enterprise reporting solutions.

  • Knowledge of Cognos security, report bursting, scheduling, package deployment, and promotion across development, test, and production environments.

  • Strong skills in Cognos report performance tuning, troubleshooting data discrepancies, SQL-based validation, and production support for enterprise BI reporting.

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, including virtual warehouses, micro-partitioning, query performance tuning, and cost optimization.

  • Experience building ELT pipelines in Snowflake using advanced SQL, data modeling, and ingestion of structured and semi-structured data.

  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently

  • Ability to quickly learn new products and technologies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

  • Highly proficient in written and spoken English

  • Experience in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle is a plus

  • Willing to work on a mid-shift schedule

  • Ideally the candidate will have working knowledge of other databases or data warehouse tools, such as Snowflake, SQL server, Azure and AWS.
