We are seeking a highly collaborative and technically skilled Director of Engineering to lead a talented team in developing applications and frameworks for Deltek products. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about driving impactful solutions, mentoring teams, and advancing state-of-the-art technology to solve real-world business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering growth and development.
- Drive the delivery of new features, quality improvements, and performance enhancements.
- Plan resources and manage development schedules, scope, and prioritization to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Designers, QA Engineers, and Marketing to define requirements and project scope.
- Set technical direction across multiple projects and become hands-on with code as needed.
- Build functional specifications and map them to product features.
- Analyze and optimize product performance.
- Design and implement outstanding user interfaces and customer experiences.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues.
- Work cross-functionally with other engineering teams and partners.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience leading and managing engineering teams.
- 10-15 years of software engineering experience in enterprise products.
- 2-3 years of experience in cloud-based delivery environments.
- Experience building and delivering software on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Direct or demonstrable experience with full stack development using Node.js / Typescript, C#, Python, Docker, Apollo GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS technologies (S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, ECS, Kinesis, CloudWatch, Hashicorp Terraform).
- Successful track record of building and managing products and projects.
- Experience in building functional specifications and managing development schedules.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented design, memory management, and performance optimization.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering/ MCA or related field

- Passion for designing and implementing outstanding user interfaces and customer experiences.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and learn new technologies quickly.
- Experience in product performance analysis and optimization.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Ability to develop and ship high-quality software products.
